Our Story

AURA Parasols came to be by sheer happenstance. I attended Burning Man for the first time in September 2021, where I was ignited by a spectacle of radical creativity and human ingenuity. I made my first parasol there on a whim to add some shine to an evening getup. Little did I know that so many people would adore my creation! After months of self-persuasion and encouragement from my tribe, I finally decided to turn AURA Parasols into a business.

Seeing how happy this simple yet enchanting accessory makes others react feels phenomenal. When sporting my AURA, I hear “oohs!”, “ahhs!”, and even children asking if I’m a fairy; it can’t get any better than that! It brings me great pleasure to serve you magic, beauty, and wonder.
